Breathe deeply, from your diaphragm; breathing from your chest won't relax you. Picture your breath coming up from your "gut."
Slowly repeat a calm word or phrase such as "relax," "take it easy." Repeat it to yourself while breathing deeply.
Use imagery; visualize a relaxing experience, from either your memory or your imagination.
Slow yoga-like exercises can relax your muscles and make you feel much calmer.
Try counting to 100 before saying anything. This may not address the anger directly, but it can minimise the damage you will do while angry.
Visualise a relaxing experience: Close your eyes, and travel there in your mind. Make it your stress-free oasis.
Keep your mouth shut and lips sealed, whenever you start feeing angry
Recite spiritual words such as Aum, Aum. These sacred words will keep you relaxed and remain in peace, joy and harmony.
